About Us

Savage Custom Homes is a family owned business headquartered in Georgetown, Texas. Managing partners Patty and Richard Savage have been building homes for over 15 years, beginning in Houston, Texas while Richard was a director with a Fortune 50 company. In 2006, the Savage family relocated to Georgetown, Texas where they now reside.

Richard is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. He retired from The Dow Chemical Company after 22 years of service in early 2007 with various sales, marketing, and business development roles. He is now enjoying a full-time second career in his true love… high-end custom homebuilding. From conceptual design throughout the building process, Richard is 100% engaged to ensure that the product will meet the client’s individual needs.

Patty is actively involved in the management of the company while also staying very engaged in the local community. She is a member of several local boards in addition to her activities with Savage Custom Homes. Patty is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelors degree in Education.

Through word-of-mouth growth, Patty and Richard had the opportunity to hire their son-in-law, Austin Barrett, in early 2022. Austin is also a graduate from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering. After three years working in the oil and gas industry, Austin is excited to be back in Central Texas as a Project Manager for Savage Custom Homes.

Savage Custom Homes remains fully committed to ensure that the highest standards of quality are maintained in every home, and treat every project as if it were their own. Savage Custom Homes hopes to have the opportunity to build you your dream house where you can enjoy a lifetime of memories.

What sets us apart

The homes we build are fully custom. Every floor plan is unique to the buyer's preferences which is achieved through an interactive process working with the builder, designer, and homeowner. We differentiate ourselves through operating with a manageable project list leading to a more efficient and enjoyable building process. Many other builders will disappear from the job once the lot is sold, and/or floor plan is established, leaving it in the hands of their project manager/superintendent. Richard stays involved throughout the design/build process, ensuring the customer's needs are met or exceeded.
